Located in Testaccio, this club has been around since 1992, and has been serving the public with house, rock, funk, and other music nights ever since. With limited hours during the summer, only being open Thursday-Saturday 23:30-05:00, you will still be able to dance the weekend away. If you’re visiting at a different part of the year stop by Akab earlier and listen to some jazz music, while you sip on your drink waiting for the dance floor to open. The club options in Testaccio are endless but Akab is something special, and is definitely worth checking out.

Half restaurant and half nightclub, the Shari Vari Playhouse is located just a few steps away from the Pantheon. Events ranging from disco nights, individual parties, and being able to rent out the space privately. With a vintage-elegant vibe those who are looking for something high class this is the place for you. Opening every day at 08:30 and closing every night at 04:00, enjoy a meal at their restaurant and head up stairs to explore the club of numerous rooms.

With four disco halls and three levels, Qube has a reputation for being one of the biggest nightclubs in the city. Their Muccassasina night, an event that has been going on for more than twenty years is something one should experience at least once. Frequented by the LGBTQ community, don’t let that make you think it excludes those who are straight. Events range from gay and fetish nights to student and college nights. If this club is on the top of your list keep in mind they have limited hours in the summer, open only Friday and Saturday from 20:00 until 05:00 in the morning!

La Cabala

La Cabala is located in the heart of the City, a short walk from Piazza Navona. With three levels, the building opens with a piano bar, as you move up you can find their restaurant, with the disco being on the top floor. This elegant and funky club attracts groups of people ages 20-30 years. Open every day from 18:00-02:00, the piano bar draws a large crowd where people enjoy singing along to classic Italian songs. Afterwards people move upstairs to the dance floor to dance the night away.

Ex Dogana

The name Ex Dogana means “ex customs”, alluding to it’s past of being a customs checkpoint. Hosting events that range from art exhibitions to food to concerts, this club has events that will suit anyone. This large venue has separate spaces and designated areas that allow art events such as exhibitions and films to occur at the same time as the outside disco. With live performances from popular DJ’s and Rock groups, Ex Dogana rules the nightlife scene. Open Tuesday-Thursday and Sundays from 12:00-02:00, with exceptions for Friday and Saturday where the club opens at 10:00 until 05:00 in the morning.

Open Thursday-Saturday from 23:30-05:00, this club has some of the best DJ’s in Rome and a constant stream of famous DJ’s performing, there is no bad night to stop by this club.
