FAQs: Florence Tours

Do your Florence Tours have skip-the-line-access?

Yes, all of our Florence tours include skip-the-line access to the Accademia (for Michelangelo’s David) and/or the Uffizi Gallery. This means that tickets are pre-reserved in advance, and that our guests enter directly through a separate entrance.

Do your Florence Tours include admission fees?

All of our Florence tours include the admission fees for the sites visited, in this case the Accademia Gallery and Uffizi Gallery, in the advertised price. There are no extra charges on the day of your tour.

Where does your Florence Walking Tour meet?

Our Florence Walking Tour meets in the center of Piazza San Marco (Florence) just a few steps away from the Accademia Gallery entrance. Check your tour voucher for a map.

Where does your Florence Walking Tour end?

The Florence Walking Tour ends at Piazza della Signoria, well-positioned for further exploration of the city, or to pick up our Uffizi Gallery Tour in the afternoon.

Does your Florence Walking Tour include the inside of Florence Cathedral?

Due to long lines at Florence Cathedral (Santa Maria del Fiore) and the lack of skip-the-line access, we are unable to guarantee entrance. For this reason we will focus on an exterior tour of Giotto’s Bell Tower and Brunelleschi’s Dome.

Where does your Uffizi Gallery Tour meet?

Our Uffizi Gallery Tour meets at the equestrian statue of Cosimo I de’ Medici on the northern side of Piazza della Signoria, directly in front of the entrance to Via Delle Farine.

Where does your Uffizi Gallery Tour end?

Uffizi Gallery tours end inside the museum itself, so you are free to continue exploring its vast collection of masterpieces on your own, or head back for more time in front of a particular favorite.

Can I bring a bag into the Accademia and/or Uffizi galleries?

Only small backpacks and handbags are allowed, and will be subject to an airport-style security check. Larger bags, umbrellas and similar objects must be stored prior to entry at the premises. Storage is free.

If you are carrying your luggage with you, we highly recommend that you store it at your hotel, or one of the many special facilities available throughout the city.

Is there a dress code on any of your Florence tours?

There is no dress code on our Florence tours, but we recommend not wearing very short shorts and being able to cover your shoulders if your guide decides to take you inside one of the city’s many churches.

Will I be able to take photos inside the Accademia and/or Uffizi galleries?

Yes, non-flash photos are allowed inside both the Accademia and Uffizi galleries. Please be sure to turn your flashes off before taking any photographs as it could damage the works of art.

How big are the groups on your Florence tours?

All our Florence group tours are semi-private with a maximum group size of just 8 people. Too big? Private tours are also available!
