What Our Customers Say...
We met with Marcello our guide and three other couples. One of the plus points of What a Life Tours is that there are never more than twelve in a group, so there's more interaction and chances to ask questions. The tour was amazing and Marcello was just brilliant! He engaged us and was funny, friendly and a joy to listen to. Our other tour was with Fredrica. Like Marcello, her knowledge of the Vatican Museums, Sistene Chapel and Saint Peter's was second to none and we enjoyed another amazing tour! I would absolutely recommend What a Life Tours and am not surprised they are rated the number one tour company in Rome.
I explained to our coordinator Pips that we wanted to see Rome through the eyes of a Roman. WOW...did she deliver on our request! She matched us up with our guide Beatrice and we saw parts of Rome I would never have thought of. Places like the spot where Julius Caesar was murdered, the Jewish Ghetto, and such. Beatrice explained every day life in Rome, and what living in Rome is like. Beatrice should be sought out for your tour. I know we'll be sure to ask for her when we return. Thank you Pips for your help in arranging this great experience. Thank you Beatrice for your kindness, and thank you What a Life Tours for providing us the opportunity to see Rome from a totally different perspective.
My husband and I took two tours - Vatican Early Access and the Colosseum Underground, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum. Both tours were guided by Carlotta. She was extremely knowledgeable, kind, entertaining and funny. We really enjoyed our time with her. She offered to spend a little extra time in St. Peter's at the end of our Vatican tour and my husband and I decided to stay. By the end of the tour I felt like we were old friends. I would definitely recommend What a Life Tours. Their service was professional, prompt and courteous.
Danielle took us into the under ground chambers of the colosseum as well as the surrounding Roman forum. It was incredible! She was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and able to keep two adults and two teenagers engaged and enthralled for 3.5 hours! This is well worth the cost. Informative, interesting and at times mind boggling. I highly recommend this to any history enthusiast or Italophile!
The Vatican Early Access Tour is the best value when it comes to Vatican Tours. You see the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica in 3.5 hours. Our guide Carlotta took us to see the Sistine Chapel when the Vatican Museum is still closed to the public. I really appreciated the small number of people inside. Carlotta is very knowledgeable and armed with an archaeological degree. I will definitely use What A Life Tours and Carlotta again!!
Our tour guide, Mario, had encyclopedic knowledge of the history of Rome, Vatican City, and the Museums, pointing out so many details about sculptures and works of art. He was great fun and really wanted us to make the most of our visit. Mario and the team far exceeded my high expectations, I highly recommend taking this tour if you want to deeply appreciate the Vatican's many wonders.
Had an amazing group tour of the Vatican with Carlotta today! The information she provided was second to none, and her awesome sense of humor only added to the whole experience. We would 100% recommend any tour with What A Life without hesitation.
As an added bonus, Carlotta shared her favorite restaurant she eats at with the group, which we then visited for lunch... the food was out of this world! A big thanks to both Carlotta and What A Life Tours for the outstanding experience!
