What Our Customers Say...
We met with Marcello our guide and three other couples. One of the plus points of What a Life Tours is that there are never more than twelve in a group, so there's more interaction and chances to ask questions. The tour was amazing and Marcello was just brilliant! He engaged us and was funny, friendly and a joy to listen to. Our other tour was with Fredrica. Like Marcello, her knowledge of the Vatican Museums, Sistene Chapel and Saint Peter's was second to none and we enjoyed another amazing tour! I would absolutely recommend What a Life Tours and am not surprised they are rated the number one tour company in Rome.
In all of Rome, there cannot be a better tour guide than Marcello. He is so knowledgeable and personable, it’s just amazing. We had a great time with him and he provided an outstanding level of humor and professionalism. I cannot recommend him enough.
I explained to our coordinator Pips that we wanted to see Rome through the eyes of a Roman. WOW...did she deliver on our request! She matched us up with our guide Beatrice and we saw parts of Rome I would never have thought of. Places like the spot where Julius Caesar was murdered, the Jewish Ghetto, and such. Beatrice explained every day life in Rome, and what living in Rome is like. Beatrice should be sought out for your tour. I know we'll be sure to ask for her when we return. Thank you Pips for your help in arranging this great experience. Thank you Beatrice for your kindness, and thank you What a Life Tours for providing us the opportunity to see Rome from a totally different perspective.
We urge everyone to take this tour! Seeing the different sights lit up in the evening is magical. Marcello was our guide and led us around the city, explaining the history of the different areas and their significance in the making of Rome. He was very careful to time our stroll correctly so we could gain access to the Pantheon before it closed. This was something we really wanted to see, and are thankful to him for making it happen. Our gelato break was an added treat! Seeing the Trevi Fountain lit up at night and visiting Piazza Navona in the evening was enchanting. Thank you Pips for your help in arranging this wonderful tour, and thank you What A Life Tours for providing us with this great experience.
My husband and I took two tours - Vatican Early Access and the Colosseum Underground, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum. Both tours were guided by Carlotta. She was extremely knowledgeable, kind, entertaining and funny. We really enjoyed our time with her. She offered to spend a little extra time in St. Peter's at the end of our Vatican tour and my husband and I decided to stay. By the end of the tour I felt like we were old friends. I would definitely recommend What a Life Tours. Their service was professional, prompt and courteous.
Our 4 hour tour went by so fast. Even better than a private tour I took 12 years ago. Martina is a fabulous guide - knowledgeable, full of personality, professional, simply brilliant.
Danielle took us into the under ground chambers of the colosseum as well as the surrounding Roman forum. It was incredible! She was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and able to keep two adults and two teenagers engaged and enthralled for 3.5 hours! This is well worth the cost. Informative, interesting and at times mind boggling. I highly recommend this to any history enthusiast or Italophile!
The Vatican Early Access Tour is the best value when it comes to Vatican Tours. You see the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica in 3.5 hours. Our guide Carlotta took us to see the Sistine Chapel when the Vatican Museum is still closed to the public. I really appreciated the small number of people inside. Carlotta is very knowledgeable and armed with an archaeological degree. I will definitely use What A Life Tours and Carlotta again!!
