Back in 2009 we began as a group of young and energetic Rome enthusiasts from all different countries, hoping to find a way to share our love for this wonderful city with people from all over the world. We created a team made up of insider experts, savvy local guides and specialists in food, art and culture, and developed what we believe to be the most personal and authentic approach to tourism in the market.
We’re all about enhancing the experience for you, the customer, because ultimately, we used to be just like you – foreigners in this beautiful yet overwhelming country, with high expectations but no idea of who to trust and how to find the places and information that are truly Italian and not just tourist traps.
We’ve carefully selected hotels, restaurants, travel advice – all as a complimentary addition to our in-depth tours and services, because we genuinely want you to have an unforgettable, stress-free, local insight into the dolce vita here in Italy. So forget what you know about the typical commercial ‘tour guide’ with a raised umbrella and a rehearsed speech – let us show you the real heart of Italy and ensure you fall in love with this country, just as we have!
The What A Life Tours Team
What our Clients say:
“Easy Decision – They are the BEST!”
Reviewed December 2, 2013We’ve traveled to 63 countries and experienced scores of tours from dozens of operators. For our just-completed Vatican/Rome visit, we went with “What a Life Tours” and in a word…they are EXCEPTIONAL. Their website is informative and easy to follow. Their customer service is dedicated to ensuring that you have a great tour with no glitches (they even have seats and clean restrooms at their office!). Our guide, Carl, was informative, caring, funny, and most of all, enlightening. Because we had some tight transportation connections, we corresponded with the office by phone and email. The company responded quickly and with an attitude and approach of being helpful. We will use them again and are referring our friends. Two thumbs up! Visited November 2013
“The way to go”
Reviewed November 24, 2013Everything you read says book a tour if you want to see the Vatican because the lines are ridiculously long…and it is true. The What a Life Tours office is located very conveniently near the Vatican and the people are very friendly. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and ensured we saw every important detail. I would highly recommend this company if you are considering going to see the Vatican. Visited April 2013
Reviewed November 20, 2013We would like to thank Ana for an excellent semi-private of the Vatican. Her in-depth knowledge & expertise truly made our experience priceless. She also was able to guide us strategically through these enormous facilities. We could never have experienced or seen as much, if we had gone on our own. We would highly recommend this tour and it’s well worth the cost. Thanks Ana! Visited November 2013
